Help for Purchase of motorcycle for the protection of Chinkara
In line with its social responsibilities, Tour In Persia has supported the project “Purchase of motorcycle for the protection of Chinkara” by the NazreTabit Association.
Kavir Biosphere Reserve Complex includes two parts of Kavir National Park with an area of 442212 hectares and Kavir Protected Area with an area of 248957 hectares.
This unique habitat is one of the largest and oldest protected areas in Iran, most of which are located in Garmsar city of Semnan province and Varamin city of Tehran province and small parts in Qom and Isfahan provinces.
At present, the management of Kavir National Park is in the possession of the General Department of Environmental Protection of Semnan Province and the protected area is in the possession of the General Directorate of Environmental Protection of Tehran Province.
The most prominent species of animals in this region are the Asian cheetah, Persian leopard, caracal, chinkara, wild goat, ram and sheep, sand fox, common fox, hyena, wolf, jackal, rabbit, porcupine, marbled polecat.
Considering that, this region has a long common border with Qom province and part of it is located within the province, but it does not have an environmental checkpoint, at NazreTabiat Association, we decided to protect the wildlife there, especially the chinkara species, with the help of local communities and hiring one of the natives and buying a suitable motorcycle for the desert.
Considering that, unfortunately, some violators from this area, which does not have an environmental checkpoint, enter the area and hunt chinkara, we intend to fill the existing gap by doing so.
